"Over Yet" is the eighth track off of Hayley Williams' first solo album "Petals for Armor" and the third track off the "Petals for Armor II" Extended Play.
Background
“Over Yet” brings a close punk sound with motivational lyrics encouraging depressed people not to give up on their lives. All of this is fueled up by Hayley’s experience with depression previous to the release of this album.
Hayley said via Instagram:
"wrote this one with @jellyquinn [Joey Howard] & @steph.marziano on a 3 day writing escapade, last summer. this one surprised us! went from industrial/punk beat to janet chorus REAL quick. all my faves rolled into one. thank god for this one coming out cause my attitude has been shiiiit lately. hope you’re well out there."

Lyrics
If there's resistance
If there's resistance
It makes you stronger
It's not the end
If there's resistance
If there's resistance
It makes you stronger
Make it your friend
When there's persistence
When there's persistence
You can go farther
Beyond the end
If in the distance
There's more resistance
Try to stay open
Make it your friend
It's the right time to come alive
Baby, if you wanna try
To get out of your head, yes, break a sweat
Baby, tell yourself it ain't over yet
It's the right time to come alive
Baby, if you wanna try
To get out of your head, yes, break a sweat
Baby, tell yourself it ain't over yet
If there's resistance
If there's resistance
It makes you stronger
It's not the end
When there's persistence
When there's persistence
You can go farther
Make it your friend
It's the right time to come alive
Baby, if you wanna try
To get out of your head, yes, break a sweat
Baby, tell yourself it ain't over yet
It's the right time to come alive
Baby, if you wanna try
To get out of your head, yes, break a sweat
Baby, tell yourself it ain't over yet
For every darkened part of me
For every darkened part of me
For every darkened part of me
It's the right time to come alive
Baby, if you wanna try
To get out of your head, yes, break a sweat
Baby, tell yourself it ain't over yet
It's the right time to come alive (For every darkened part of me)
Baby, if you wanna try (There's a light I can see)
To get out of your head, yes, break a sweat (Both belong)
Baby, tell yourself it ain't over yet (Both are me)
(It's the right time)
(To get out of your head)
